How We Started
Our Story
Crooked Row Farm is a certified organic, woman-owned vegetable farm on the western edge of the Lehigh Valley. We specialize in seasonal veggies, shelf-stable farm products, herbs, pasture-raised eggs, and a new line of herbal products. Our farm store curates some of the most delicious foods from over two dozen local producers and growers, including freshly baked bread, honey, fruits, dairy, meats, ferments, vegetarian options, preserves, and so much more.
We’ve run CSA programs, taught local eating and herb-growing workshops, built pallet gardens for inner-city schools, and hosted wild food walks over the years. We have also participated in a handful of farmers’ markets in the Lehigh Valley and Philadelphia since 2013. Today, we have two certified organic locations in New Tripoli and Orefield and a Farm Market of our own!
Crooked Row owner Liz Wagner is an advocate for local food and farmer collaborations, an emissary for wayward farmhands and bottle feeders, a Lehigh County Farmland Preservation board member, an amateur herbalist, and, occasionally, a Lancaster Farming journalist.
Together with her lovable crew of seasonal help, and her family – her greenhouse goddess mother, her mechanically-minded father, her public relations guru and stand boss Grandma, her local food-advocating sister, her meal-bringing aunt, and her garlic-pulling cousins, we are a group of supportive veggie drivers, meal deliverers, chicken wranglers, and farm hands. We are so grateful to have a growing and committed group of folks who support the Crooked Row dreams and eating choices with their food dollars. The farm continues to grow and change shape to meet the eating dreams in this little pocket of the Valley.
We started this journey to learn how to be stewards of the land, beekeepers, chicken-whisperers, forest foragers, locavores, working herbalists, small business supporters, and food growers. We have done all of this and more. And we look forward to you joining us on our adventure as we continue on our organic journey.
Please reach out if you have any questions or would like to get your hands on some sweet, delicious eats.
